Sustained Attention
A passage of history passes at a pace. Without warning it halts, and something already read is asked for — in your own words, in a few seconds.
TrainsVigilance over minutes — staying with a text past the point where attention wants to leave. The faculty short-form media wears down first.
Three passages a sitting, anchored to your rank: one within reach, one at the mark, one a step above. The pace and the crowding of the facts rise with the level, and higher up a question may reach back to the beginning of the passage. The written answer follows every question, and the closeness of yours is judged. Three questions missed on one passage loses it; a passage held raises the rank, and the next sitting opens from where the rank stands.
Three passages a sitting: one within reach of your rank, one at it, one a step above. The rank moves with each passage held or lost, and the next sitting opens from where it stands.
