Register of Rank

The Standard

The institution holds nine ranks. They are earned through the Diagnostic, not through practice volume.

Your Standing Δ: +52

The Nine Ranks

Sovereign

Δ 135+

The standard met. No further protocol prescribed.

Sustained elite performance across every faculty under load. Exceedingly rare. The Fellow has reached the highest rank the institution confers. Graduation is earned. The certificate, alumni roll, and signed letter follow.

1 Fellow

Preeminent

Δ 115–134

Continuous self-regulation at the highest standard.

Performance at this level is remarkable by any benchmark. The Fellow demonstrates consistent accuracy on the most discriminating items, negligible fatigue-induced decline, and recall capacity that exceeds most published norms. The institution recognises fewer than thirty Fellows at this level.

4 Fellows

Elite

Δ 95–114

Sustained clarity under load. Rarely observed in ordinary populations.

The Fellow maintains near-peak performance across all subtests through the final segment of the Diagnostic. The fatigue slope is shallow. The endurance gap between Working Δ and Standing Δ is small. This is the domain of serious, disciplined practitioners.

14 Fellows

Exceptional

Δ 75–94

Heightened discrimination across domains. Rarely a bottleneck in any single faculty.

Performance at this level reflects genuine cognitive sharpness sustained across the full Diagnostic duration. The Fellow can handle complex conditional logic, maintain delayed recall, and resist attentional decay past minute 30. Few Fellows reach this band without months of disciplined practice.

52 Fellows

Distinguished

Δ 60–74

Above-baseline acuity. Discrimination is measurably crisp.

The Fellow demonstrates above-average performance across all subtests. Sustained attention holds under moderate fatigue. Reasoning accuracy on Band 3 items is consistent. The endurance deficit is narrowing.

98 Fellows

Proficientcurrent

Δ 45–59

The institutional mean. Competent across all measured faculties.

Δ 50 — the calibration population mean — falls in this band. A Proficient Fellow performs at the level of an average member of the institution. This is not a ceiling; it is a baseline from which meaningful improvement begins.

142 Fellows

Competent

Δ 30–44

Foundational acuity across domains. The protocol is demonstrably working.

The Fellow can sustain attention and recall under moderate load. Reasoning accuracy is above chance on Band 2 items. The break point is no longer embarrassingly low. This is where most Fellows spend their first months.

124 Fellows

Developing

Δ 15–29

Early consolidation. Foundations are forming but remain inconsistent.

The Fellow demonstrates emerging capacity in at least one domain but has not yet stabilised performance across the battery. Inconsistency between subtests is typical. Continued daily practice is prescribed.

67 Fellows

Novice

Δ below 15

Entry-level cognitive performance. Most Fellows begin here or in Developing.

The Fellow has completed an initial Diagnostic but has not yet demonstrated baseline proficiency across the measured faculties. Performance at this level is consistent with untrained engagement. The protocol begins here.

Diagnostic Methodology

Δ is an institution-internal score. It measures a Fellow’s performance on this institution’s assessments relative to other Fellows. It is not an IQ test, not a medical assessment, and not a diagnosis. It is a training benchmark, like a 1-rep max or a recital program.
